The only thing worse than seeing your competition succeed is when you have to watch them do it with lies and deception.  That’s the situation that was facing the Toledo Association of Administrative Personnel (TAAP)—a labor union representing principals and other administrators at the Toledo Public Schools.

Charter schools were successfully wooing students with criticisms of public education and promises of academic achievement that didn’t match with reality.

The answer?  Hit ‘em with the truth.  Funk Luetke Skunda designed and executed a campaign that cut through a complicated subject with a simple message—send your kids to a charter school, and they will learn less than they did before.

The campaign was hard-hitting and aggressive, but it got people talking about the education of their children, but this time the conversation included some facts.
