Toledo Public Schools Recruitment Campaign

The situation was simple. More and more students were leaving the local school district in favor of charter schools, and taking valuable funding with them. Yet, state tests showed that the public schools consistently outperformed charter schools. FLS developed a campaign to make sure the public understood the benefits of a public school education. Titled “Better Learning Makes the Difference,” the campaign used print, TV and outdoor to tell its story. The result – TPS took the first steps in reversing the declining enrollment trend it had been seeing, and many more students will receive a better education in the public schools.
