Lucas County Arena
People often think of building a major civic project as a “capital” project. They’re right—so long as they remember that the projects like that require more than just financial resources—they also require the social and political capital to get the project approved and accepted in the community.
Funk Luetke Skunda has worked closely at the strategic level with leaders of Lucas County, as they kick off a major community project---a new Downtown Sports Arena.
FLS has helped the County gather public input on the arena’s location, work with the business community to sell suites and premium seating, navigate the tricky waters of tax financing, and promote acceptance of the team which was hired to build the facility. To date, the project is moving forward, with public acceptance and anticipation growing each day.
