Sunoco - Wonder of Oil
Ready on the set. Cue the bird. It’s the Joe and Cleo show! Sunoco Toledo employee Joe Hoeflinger, is not only a knowledgeable and skillful refinery engineer, he’s a quite a showman and science educator. Each year, school students throughout northwest Ohio learn the Wonder of Oil as presented by Joe and his trusty sidekick bird puppet, Cleo. The program is aligned with Ohio Academic Content Standards and helps prepare students for the Ohio proficiency tests by exploring scientific inquiry, science and safety, technology, life sciences and economics.
FLS worked closely with Joe to design the graphic look for his presentation and a portable set that could be easily transported and quickly assembled. FLS also produced an entertaining and informative eight-minute interactive DVD that complements the live presentation.
